Subsrcibers: Subscriber lists
In this menu you manage the subscriber lists of your recipients. Here you can change list properties such as the name of the list, add or delete lists.
To get acquainted, you will find a demo list where you can add subscribers. To organize your subscribers we recommend:
- Coarse separation in subscriber lists, e.g. to manage employees, customers and press contacts separately, where there is probably never a thematic overlap.
- Fine structuring via target groups, because their definition can be changed at any time and is not bound to "rigid" lists.
To see the subscribers of a list, click 'Subscribers' in the 'Quick Links' column. You can create more lists later by clicking 'New Subscriber List' in the top right corner.
Besides, the open, open folder, move and delete options are available via the displayed icons. By clicking the 'Open' icon you'll be able to view and edit the name, description and subscribers included in the list. By clicking on the 'Move Folder' icon you will be able to move the selected list to another folder. To do this, you must have already created subfolders via the folder management. If you have already moved a subscriber list to a subfolder, clicking on the 'Open folder' icon will take you to that subfolder.
Create new subscriber list
The 'New subscriber list' button allows you to create new subscriber lists in emma. An input form appears, in which the name and (optionally) a description are inserted in the first tab 'Basic settings'. Clicking on the 'Subscribers' tab takes you to the overview of records. At this point you can create individual subscriber Data sets via 'create' directly in emma. A more efficient alternative to entering the Data sets by hand is the import described under Import. Furthermore, the 'last import' with the date and the corresponding 'Import-Id' is displayed for each subscriber list.
Subscriber data like e-mail address, title, first name, and last name are stored in subscriber fields. You can create additional subscriber fields as needed, for example, to store company, customer number, or date of birth.
The search field or the advanced search can be used to search specifically for entries in the selected 'Subscriber list'. The stored data of the subscribers can be viewed subsequently via the action 'open' and also changed if necessary.
The same subscriber in multiple lists?
Yes, a subscriber can belong to multiple lists with his subscriber ID, recognizible in the subscriber managment. Via duplicate matching, you can (and should) merge subscribers with identical data under one subscriber ID at any time. This is also possible for duplicates in different lists, because the list affiliation is preserved.
Delete subscriber list
If a subscriber list is deleted, the subscribers it contains will inevitably lose this list membership as well. If subscribers do not belong to any other list afterward, they will be deleted. Otherwise, they remain in their still existing lists.
Search subscribers
In the subscriber overview, you can use the advanced search to filter out specific subscriber groups. After selecting a target group or entering individual search terms, all subscribers matching your search will be displayed.
Clicking 'close advanced search' will display all subscribers included in the list again.
